She has a proven track record of driving transformational initiatives that uplift underserved communities while ensuring transparency and accountability.
As Founder and CEO of Optimized Diversity Solutions, Carra works to expand opportunities for minority- and women-owned business enterprises (MWBEs). She provides strategic advisory services to Reverend Al Sharpton and the National Action Network, helping diverse-owned asset management and investment banking firms access institutional capital from pension funds, labor unions, corporate plans, philanthropies, and universities.
Previously, Carra served as Chief Diversity Officer for the NYC Comptroller’s Office and Managing Director at New York State's largest public finance and construction authority, where she significantly increased MWBE participation.
She currently serves on the boards of TruFund Financial Services, the NY State Procurement Council, and Eagle Academy Foundation, helping shape policies that drive economic opportunity and educational success. A dedicated advocate and strategist, Carra also embodies perseverance in her personal life, having completed marathons in New York, Paris, Berlin, Dubai, and beyond.
