Michael Billings is a private investor and non-profit advisory board member.
Previously, he was an Investment Manager at Vanderbilt University’s Office of
Investments and an Analyst at First Pacific Advisors, L.L.C. (FPA). He began his
professional career at The Clinton Foundation, founded by The Honorable William J.
Clinton, after working as a production assistant on Season 1 of The Apprentice, a reality
television program created by President Donald J. Trump and Mark Burnett.
Billings earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of
Pennsylvania and a M.S. in Finance from the University of Utah. He is a member of the
inaugural Ron Brown scholar program class and graduated from Rowland Hall St.
Mark’s high school, which he as a David Cumming Scholar.
Throughout his life, Billings has been lifted by a village of individuals who have
advocated for him, beginning in the 9 th grade when a family took him in as their own.
Like all of us, he stands on the shoulders of others. As an advocate, Billings looks to
meet the reciprocal responsibility to live his life so that others may stand on his
shoulders. He continually meets, mentors, collaborates and connects with people and
firms.
