Kate Beardsley is a Founding Partner of Hannah Grey. Kate has been a venture capitalist since 2008 as a Founding Member of Lerer Hippeau. She seeded iconic brands like Billie (acq. Edgewell), Casper (IPO), Food52 (acq. by Cherin Group), Genies, Glossier, Hipcamp, Paperless Post, Self Financial, The Citizenry, Warby Parker (IPO), Venmo (acq. by Braintree), and several more. She is a Founding Partner of Upslope Ventures (FKA Galvanize Ventures), the venture fund associated with Galvanize, the developer education program, and national co-working community.
Kate began her entrepreneurial career in New York City, as Chief of Staff to Martha Stewart, Founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, and was an early employee of The Huffington Post. She is a board member of The Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association and a mentor at Techstars. Kate was born in Hartford, CT, and is an honors graduate of Middlebury College with a BA in English. She lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband and two daughters.
