An experienced leader in the financial services industry, Michelle has cross divisional expertise in banking and capital markets, asset management and wealth management at leading financial services firms. Currently, Michelle is Managing Director and Head of Business Development - Emerging & Diverse Asset Managers, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Previously, Michelle led the Alternative Investment Education initiative and provided strategic guidance to Financial Advisors and their clients on portfolio construction across private market investment strategies, including private equity, venture capital, private real estate, private credit and infrastructure.

Michelle has broad experience in financial analysis, origination, investment due diligence and sales of Alternative Investments resulting from her roles across Investment Management and Wealth Management Divisions of Morgan Stanley and her previous experience in Citigroup's Investment Banking and Asset Management Divisions. Michelle’s capital markets and corporate governance expertise is reflected in her experience analyzing investment management firms’ underwriting and corporate governance practices and evaluating corporate merger and acquisitions of financial services companies. As a recognized thought leader, Michelle has been a panelist for forums sponsored by the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives and the Money Management Institute.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Michelle held various positions at Citigroup in corporate M&A, private equity fundraising, institutional investment management sales and municipal finance banking. During her tenure at Citigroup, Michelle served as the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Chief Operating Officer. Michelle received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She holds Series 24, 7 and 63 FINRA licenses. Michelle is a Venture Partner with Newark Venture Partners, which invests in B2B technology companies. Michelle is a board member of 100 Women in Finance.
