Miguel Thames is a successful executive with over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has held senior management positions in global business development and established a strong global network. In addition to his managerial experience, Miguel has extensive technical capabilities in portfolio management and credit analysis. He has championed workforce diversity, currently mentors many younger professionals, and has earned a reputation for high integrity, teamwork, and commitment to achieving results.
Miguel is currently President & CEO of the National Association of Securities Professionals (NASP), a 600-member professional organization focused on driving economic impact from expanding inclusion in the financial services industry. In 2018 Miguel founded T.I.G. Advisory providing advisory services to asset management firms and fund sponsors. Miguel spent 25 years of his career in the investment management group of Prudential Financial in multiple roles including leading business development in Africa, Latin America, the US, UK, and Japan.

Miguel currently serves on the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Foundation Board, and as a strategic advisor to several businesses. He is an active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity. Miguel earned his BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago

Miguel and his wife Connie have been married for 32 years, reside in Philadelphia PA and Bluffton SC, and have two adult daughters.
